For a long time, I didn’t feel at home in my own body. Growing up as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, my sense of self was stolen before I even had the chance to define it. I learned to shrink myself, to hide, to dissociate from the very body that carried me through life.
But healing is a journey, and part of that journey is reclaiming what was taken. I created Freyja Boutique not just as a lingerie store, but as a statement of self-love, empowerment, and ownership of one’s body. Inspired by Freyja, the Norse goddess of love, beauty, and strength, I chose this name as a symbol of the fierce, unapologetic femininity that I—and so many survivors—are reclaiming. Every piece I curate is chosen with intention—to remind women that they are worthy, powerful, and beautiful on their own terms.
For me, lingerie is more than just fabric. It’s an act of defiance against the shame I once carried. It’s a symbol of strength, a way to reconnect with myself, and a celebration of every woman who has ever struggled to feel comfortable in her skin.
Freyja Boutique isn’t just about selling lingerie; it’s about helping others feel safe, seen, and cherished in their own bodies—because we deserve that.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
At Freyja Boutique, we believe in the power of healing, self-love, and reclaiming our bodies. As a survivor-founded business, we understand the lifelong impact of childhood sexual abuse and PTSD, and we stand with those who are on their journey toward healing.
That’s why 10% of every purchase goes toward Canadian charities that support survivors, providing essential resources, therapy, and advocacy for those who need it most.
When you shop with us, you're not just buying lingerie—you’re helping survivors rebuild, heal, and reclaim their strength. 💕
Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we rise.
